- I have got responses to this thread by email. Since email probably means that
- the authors do not wish to be known, I'll just summarize what they said.

- One person thought that the advantage of C++ was mainly in its speed. That
- is, it is compiled instead of interpreted.

- Another pointed out that for true portability, we must have many vendors
- supplying the same thing. C++ is supplied by many vendors. VB & delphi
- are not.
